The Origin Story
Every cult needs a prophet. Gerry Gobel was literally the Minister of Comedy for the 1st Church of Cannabis in Indianapolis — livestreaming comedy before it was cool, producing shows like Canna City Limits and The Comedy Grinder.
THE CULT SHOW is the full flowering of that ministry: a room full of willing participants, a leader with a microphone, and the collective understanding that enlightenment is better with punchlines. It ran to packed houses at Crackers Comedy Club and now travels — comedy clubs, theaters, bowling alleys. Anywhere the faithful gather.
